Maestro Eugene Ormandy, who conducted the Philadelphia Orchestra from 1938 until 1980, and his wife Margaret, are buried at the Old Pine Street Church. The Ormandys married in 1950 and their wedding anniversary is commemorated every May by the placing of a bouquet of red roses on their gravesite.

This year, two members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Mei Ching Huang, violinist and Udi Bar-David, cellist, will join us at this event. Sunday, May 21st, 12 noon at the Old Pine Street Church, 412 Pine Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106. In case of rain, the program will be held at the Old Pine Community Center, 401 Lombard Street, directly behind the church.
